The 20th century's unbelievable and extraordinary invention is a chip. The chip was invented by Jack Kilby in 1958. The chip is just like a miniature marvel that contains combined transistors and other parts of an electrical circuit. Jack Kilby was awarded the Nobel Prize for his invention. The chip is made up of silicon and small pieces of aluminium.

After the invention of the Integrated circuit(IC) the electronic world changed the total face of our world. Nowadays advanced and future technology developing through these amazing devices. They are more grateful than other electronic devices because chips are very small, low cost, reliable, small in size and low power consumption. Usually, chip sizes are united mils, and one mils is 0.001 inch.
Basically, ICs are combined by one or more logic gates for
example one of the popular IC741. This IC includes there are 8 pins. Pin 7 and
4 are power supply pins and 1 is offset null pin. The pin 2 and 3 are inverting
and non-inverting input pins.
Nowadays there many types of ICs are available for
extraordinary electronic works. Those are used to convert analogue signals to
digital and to produce radio waves etc.
