64 million times more accurate MRI scanning equipment than current MRI scanning equipment is coming in the future.
Scientists from the Duke University School of Medicine in the
United States have designed a new MRI scanning device. MRI scans have been very
useful for understanding nerve and brain function in general. Doctors can
easily identify the nature of the disease with an MRI scan.
The MRI scanning equipment currently in use is only capable
of producing a normal scanning image. Through this, we can know the functioning
of the brain and nerves to some extent. But we definitely need more advanced
and more efficient MRI scanning equipment to understand more brain functions.
Now this new MRI scanning equipment can provide very accurate images.
This MRI scan is 64 million times more accurate than existing
MRI scans. Current MRI scans use a magnet of 1.5 to 3 Tesla. A newly invented MRI
scan uses a magnet with a power of 9.4 Tesla. In the future, many types of diseases
can be easily corrected with this MRI scan.
It would also require a new class of computers with the
equivalent capacity of nearly 800 computers to provide accurate MRI scanning
images.
