Ever since the beginning of space exploration, the curiosity of whether humans can live on another planet has been a natural concern of all scientists. So, scientists started to research the nearest planet Mars to us continuously.
Their research continued with the belief that if only Mars
had water sources; the human race could live there. Each space agency started
doing its part to explore Mars.
It has been almost 20
years since the European Space Agency sent a spacecraft to Mars in 2003. Its
scientists are constantly researching the data sent by this spacecraft every
year. The presence of water sources on the surface of Mars is continuously
being investigated through the radar system on this spacecraft.
They named it Mars Express and sent it. Radar instruments
aboard the Mars Express space probe have now sent the definitive information on
the existence of water sources on Mars.
Scientists have analyzed the photo and confirmed that water
sources are frozen in the interior of Mars. These water sources are not at the
surface of the sand in very normal conditions.
It is located very deep in the sand layer of Mars, so it will
take many years to excavate it. Although this water source is frozen at such a
depth, it is believed sufficient for human life. Evidence of water on Mars has
now been confirmed by the European Space Agency, further supporting the idea of
human habitation on Mars.
