Chest irritation is a common symptom among people. Many
people think of heartburn as a disease but it is not a disease and then you may
have a doubt as to what causes heartburn.
There are various reasons for heartburn. Irritation in the
upper stomach middle of the chest or the lower part of the chest, caused by
indigestion, is more distressing than the pain it causes. Due to this, the people
will rub their chests and leave. In this condition, pain occurs only when the
irritation increases.
People with this problem will automatically experience a sour
taste in their mouth from time to time. They tell their doctor about their
problem and complain that their chest is on fire.
This problem occurs
more in women than in men, especially in pregnant women. This problem is more
common in early pregnancy and before delivery. Heartburn is caused by obesity,
heavy weight lifting, high pressure on the stomach, eating fried foods in oil,
foods with a lot of sour taste, and drinking tea and coffee frequently.
Most people who sleep on their right side can feel the
irritation better, but lying on their left side does not cause much pain or
irritation.
How does heartburn
occur?
The food we eat contains a variety of nutrients. Protein, fat, and vitamins are present in food but along with these we also eat some acids in food. Sour fruits like oranges and lemons contain acids and when we consume them, the glands in the stomach also produce acid.
The acid that goes with food and the acid produced by the
stomach together increase the amount of acid in the stomach. The amount of acid
should be balanced in the body and whenever it increases we will develop
physical ailments like heartburn.
Thus, there is another reason for high acid heartburn and it
is produced in the lower part of the esophagus. If the flow of gastric
secretions is low, there is no feeling of irritation, but when the flow is
large, there will be an allergy in the oesophagus and symptoms will also
develop.
Obese people and pregnant women have high internal pressure
in the stomach, and due to this pressure, the contents of the stomach go into
the food pipe and often feel irritation in the upper abdomen and chest.
Method of healing
We don't need to worry
about heartburn if we take proper precautions and take medicines. Taking
antacids at the beginning of the problem is easy to cure. At the same time, if
the problem of heartburn increases, diet should be restricted. It is better not
to eat too many sour and acidic fruits and avoid spicy foods.
Reducing obesity equals reducing all diseases.
Do not go to sleep immediately after eating at night.
A nap after lunch is very good.
In ancient times, the kings made a route for walking after
eating, because sleeping after eating would cause various physical ailments, so
they made it a habit to walk a short distance and sleep.
Make sure that the head and chest are slightly elevated while
sleeping.
Do not go to sleep immediately after eating. Take a meal at
least two hours before going to sleep.
Heartburn is not a very dangerous disease but if the diet and lifestyle are correct then this problem will go away but without proper diet, if we ignore it it can lead to many other diseases.
