Generally, a Tsunami is an earthquake that occurs under the sea. Tsunamis occur when earthquakes occur under the sea; similar to earthquakes on Earth, but a seismic event from the Arctic to Antarctica in September 2023 has been detected by scientists.
The scientists who
found it were shocked because they said it was a mysterious earthquake. What
mysterious earthquake is that? Usually, earthquakes are generated as multiple
vibrations but this earthquake has only a single frequency.
Professor Stephen Hicks, from the Department of Earth Science
at University College London, who researched it, said: 'It's quite different
from any seismic signal I've ever seen, and I was a bit confused when I saw it
because it had only single frequency.'
This frequency is completely different from the earthquake
wave patterns that have been recorded in the world so far because if a wave
with a single frequency can spread all over the earth, it would be very
dangerous.
Scientists say that such a frequency has not been recorded so
far. If a vibration spreads across the earth, there will definitely be huge
impacts. The Earth is being affected by climate change and global warming.
Human making the earth more vulnerable for their needs and
hence such mysterious events are happening. Scientists say that in September
2023, a Tsunami of 200 meters in height was formed in Greenland.
If this continues, due
to global warming, the sea level will increase above 3.8 meters and then the
height of the Tsunami will also increase. Now the sea level increased by 3.8 meters in
future may be increase.
Scientists say that tsunamis can reach up to 200 meters in Greenland
now and higher Tsunami may come. If such a Tsunami comes, a large part of the
human area may disappear. When we change the natural environment with
modernity, nature changes in another form.
Incidents like this are examples of how much we have harmed
the Earth. We have made the earth warmer by releasing excessive amounts of
greenhouse gases and by using plastic products. Even recently, researchers have
found an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide gases in the Earth's
atmosphere.
Surely we have to stop this kind of global warming; otherwise, if the tsunami waves come when the sea level rises due to the warming, this
human species that we are trying to protect may face great harm.
