bones, teeth, and nails. Calcium helps in the absorption of nutrients from the
food we eat and also stimulates the body's immune system to withstand the
effects of various environmental pollutants in this period. Milk and its
derivatives, cereals, nuts, and pulses are rich in calcium.
Magnesium helps in the digestion of food. Similarly, magnesium is
essential for the health of bones. It is found in large quantities in apples,
lemons, and grapes.
Phosphorus helps in strengthening and keeping bones, teeth, nails, and
hair strong and shiny. Phosphorus is needed to keep the senses alert.
Phosphorus is abundant in meat, fish, eggs, and milk.
Potassium is used to protect the skin and keep the body strong. Potassium is
abundant in lemons, lime juice, meat, fish, grains, and peppers.
Iron is an essential nutrient for the production of red blood cells. Iron
deficiency is more common in women, causing shortness of breath, dizziness, eye
problems, and hair loss. Iron is abundant in green vegetables, eggs, dates,
grains, and seafood.
Selenium is beneficial in combination with vitamin E. Selenium helps prevent wrinkles and maintain a healthy body. Selenium is abundant in foods such as vegetables, fruits, eggs, garlic, and fish.
Iodine is essential for the functioning of the thyroid gland. Metabolic changes in the body often involve the thyroid gland. If excessive iodine is added to the body, the body weight decreases and the thyroid gland also slows down. Iodine is abundant in seafood, onions, and other foods.
Sulfur contributes to the health of the skin, nails, and hair. Sulfur helps in
resistance to infectious diseases and mental clarity. Sulfur is found in
abundance in eggs, fish, beans, onions, and cabbage.
Zinc is responsible for cell renewal, healthy skin, proper digestion, and
growth of body organs. It is abundant in seafood, legumes, grains, and
vegetables grown in zinc-rich soils. If you take medication for any reason, it
prevents the body from absorbing zinc. Then there is a possibility of zinc
deficiency.
Eating a nutritious diet and drinking enough water will help
