A new study says that if a person takes some drugs that are
generally prescribed for heart diseases for more than five years; he may
develop a brain-related disease called dementia. The Karolinska Institute in
Sweden has published this information.
The research journal Alzheimer's has published that if you
take drugs for heart disease, you will develop a disease called dementia. It
has been said that long-term use of these drugs for five years or more
increases the risk of dementia in the elderly. Dementia is a brain problem that
occurs after ageing.
Dementia is said to be a decrease in mental functions such as
thinking, remembering and finding reasons. The study included 88,000 people over
the age of 70 from 2011 to 2016.
The study found that
if they took heart medications regularly, they were more likely to develop
dementia. If you take certain medications for one condition continuously, it
can cause other conditions.
Generally, memory-related diseases occur after the age of 70,
but if you take some such pills continuously, it may increase for you.
Similarly, if you take such heart-related drugs, you are more likely to develop
brain-related diseases that occur in old age, such as dementia, at a younger
age.
