Seven diet plans to prevent cancer.

The American Cancer Society says that if you exclude some foods and add some, you can live without the fear of getting cancer. This organization has prepared and published a report that includes 7 easy aspects for everyone to understand.

Seven diet plans

1. It is enough to include a small amount of fat in the diet to cover 30 per cent of the total calories needed by an average person per day. Generally, fats do not cause cancer, but if too much fat is deposited in the body, it combines with other biological substances to cause cancer. In experiments with mice, it was found that high-fat foods cause excessive secretion of digestive juices and bile, which are secreted to the inner walls of the intestines and stimulate cancer. Therefore, it is better to reduce foods that are high in fat.

2. Foods that contain fibre such as fruits vegetables and cereals should be included in the diet every day. Since this stimulates the proper movement of the stomach, food items are digested within a certain period. Nitrogen-rich foods such as meat, beetroot and eggs stay in the digestive tract for a long time and when consumed in excess, they produce a chemical called nitrosamine, which can cause cancer. Therefore, it is better to reduce nitrogen-rich foods as much as possible.

3. It is necessary to eat foods rich in vitamins A and C in moderation. Vitamin A deficiency causes cancer in organs such as the lungs, neck, skin and bladder. Excess vitamin A causes lethargy, headaches, vomiting and also causes some damage to organs such as the liver, bones and brain. Vitamin C deficiency causes cancer in the stomach and oesophagus. We need 60 mg of vitamin C per day, for which we should include citrus fruits, tomatoes, strawberries, potatoes and cabbage in our diet. If vitamin C increases in the body, blood pressure increases and diseases such as headache, blurred vision, fatigue and muscle weakness occur. It also triggers diabetes and thyroid problems.

4. Vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower and turnips, which are a type of flower food, should be included. These help in preventing cancer in organs like the lungs and oesophagus and also provide protection by neutralizing some cancer-causing chemicals. These flower foods should be included two or three times a week.

5. Drinking alcohol is not good for health. Drinking alcohol and smoking can all cause cancer. This increases the risk of cancer in the mouth, lungs, throat, oesophagus, and liver.

6. Salted yoghurt and nitrate-added foods should be avoided. The salts we need come from the foods we eat. If necessary, you can add one teaspoon of salt per day. In general, reducing salt is good for health. Pickles and salted processed foods should be avoided as much as possible from your daily diet because they contribute to most cancers in the body. If you take enough vitamin C, the risk of cancer caused by salt can be reduced to some extent.

7. It is important to eat less and have a balanced diet. Junk food causes the body to swell. If the body is chubby, hormones like estrogen are secreted in excess and become the source of tumours in various parts of the body. Since these tumours are the beginning of cancer, exercise is very important.
